Wait for the April 20th price drop on Intel processors. You will get a better deal then no matter what you do. Also, other options might open up.

Q6600 , E8400, Ect. If your a folder I would say the Qx6700 but I dont know how much they cost.

But right now, $200 will get you the Dual Core E8400, great price for soemthing that PWNS

and the Q6600 is not as good as a clocker but has more cores which games right now dont take advantage of...

Another vote for the Q6600. I love mine just because of the ability to set each core to a seperate program which is pre-multicore usage, so I can rip a CD 100% lossless while playing a game. Additionally, although games do not use all of them now, they are only going to utilize more cores as times go on. However, if it is purely games, and you are buying one by tonight as a drop dead date, I'd go for the E8500 on sale at TigerDirect for $290
