You might have more luck with rivatuner cause it sounds like ati tool isnt properly recognizing your card. Good luck

This card is not for gaming, even the desktop part is horrible for gaming. Its more for video playback or media centers. It's reverting back to stock clocks probably because its getting to hot and reverts back to stock as a stability measurement.

Even the desktop part comes shipped without a fan, which is even more evidence that these aren't for 3D rendering.

Lies. Unless you are playing on 800x600. Check my sig for my setup, and on hl2 on 1440x900 max settings (all but AA and filtering) I get 60-80fps.

Well, you have a 15,1 inch monitor form what your specs say, i think the max of that is 1024x768. So it would have no trouble playing at that res. It is a bad card. Run 3dmark06 and see your score.

If none of us really have no idea what we're talking about, can you find a 17" Crt and play some games at max at 1280x1024. Then share your results with us. Thanks

You do realize we're talking about the 8400m GS right?

(That means we're talking about a laptop )

And I'm not surprised, since an Eee PC can run those games decently.

As for OCing, its a really weak card so you aren't going to get much performance out of it, and its a laptop so you're going to kill your battery and fry your nuts if you try.
