[xtreview] Mozilla FireFox V.3.0 Beta 5 Riview - Page 2

Yup, Foxy should load in 0 seconds just like IE does 6 or 7 ,, I dislike that. Also even the second time IE is instant while fox is 0.001 secs,,, Also yes it uses heavy memory usage, and I know they can optimize it the way IE is which I don't use period.

Im not downing fox, however all I want is performance on launch and not memory leakage and fast no matter what without a single crash lol. Like when you go to myspace after a while , the scroll automatically goes down without stopage any site now that u visit. You must exit fox and restart.... I think IE has that problem with myspace as well, not sure.... Anyhow I don't think a website shuld crash your browser in any terms.. Maybe in IE 1.0 or my precious IE 3.0 ,, which I have a nice T Shirt of... Midnite Madness lol ,, anyhow ya whens the final release of 3.0 coming out. I don't have time for betas.....thx,, and enjoy it!!!

IE is still faster for me on loading the application up...=/ I hope they change that, I don't like IE. Also, my beta 5 crashes and doesn't play certain streaming videos A LOT. I wanna blame my semi-stable CPU for it, but I don't think I could entirely anyway. I love the changes to firefox 3, and hope they fix it all by the end of this beta. I also hope they fix all the memory issues they can, because I was playing a game with FF running, and FF was using 77% of my 2 gigs. Oh well... AFTER THIS IS THE FINAL RELEASE!

I am now using FF3b5, seems to be a lot faster and more stable than the previous release. Glad the home button is back.

But yea, I love opera but the interface isn't for me.
I've been having issues on two different OS installs.
saving an image basically freezes the browser for an instant.

doesn't happen in linux though. just the windows version.

EDIT: sweet DAMN it's fixed in v 3.

Looks like that theme you are using does not support 3.0 B5. Try another or reinstall foxie if nothing else works. Remember to take backups.

No, it's not. It probably showed up for you because you moved it in beta 4 or something, and thus your settings were maintained.

This is because IE is preloaded at windows boot, meaning you spend those seconds FF takes to load booting windows.

IE is terrible at rendering. If you have tried Firefox, check out Kmeleon and Opera, both are good browsers and if you don't use the Extensions to much effect, are probably better choices.

Firefox 3 was made with all 4 OSs in mind, so the XP looks different to make it blend in, vista's looks different to blend with the aero interface, OS X's version looks different to match the aqua interface and the same with linux.
