So far orthos has been running for 5.5 hours, tests run as we speak. its priority 1 right now as I am occasionally using the system, however overnight I will jack it to priority 9 or 10.

Earlier today I had the ref clock set to 271 and after just short of 4 hours I received my warning/error/beeping alert.

Superk, sounds good man. It's funny you mentioned the 4 hrs failure...I had an OC going one time that I was so happy with but after 5 hrs in Orthos it failed.

I hope it's stable for you

Good luck

orthos running now for 16 hours stable. I just wish I could get it past 6.5, but my ram is being a total S.O.B. :|

Is it normal for one core to be 10 degrees higher than the other? Core 1 is running at 59 right now (full load) while core2 is running at 47 (full load) Orthos tests show that they are pretty much on the same iteration, but core2 ALWAYS finishes a few seconds before... normal?

Superk, another member on this forum was commenting on the same issue last week. I honestly don't think it's anything to worry about. When I was doing my Orthos testing, one of my cores was 6-7C higher then the other.
Those temps seem pretty high for H2O.... =\\

Good luck

Superk, maybe the block is just really concave and not flat. Have you checked it out? I'm assuming you have decent room ambients?

Good luck

room is also a tiny bit on the warm side... roughly 30C +/- a few degrees. I realize that doesnt help, however its a small room with little airflow, thats why I got the antec nine hundred, with all its fans it makes airflow lol.. best I could do with what I have..

I was thinking of lapping the chip, but to void the warranty im not sure.. right now its at 3303mhz and running 52 and 61 for core2 and core 1 respectively, 55 chip average under full load. Idle is between 40-50. I dont think thats too bad for a room with high ambient temps like this one plus a cheap liquid system that most decent aftermarket fans can put down lol.

We currently have about the same setup, except I have the M2N-SLI.
And yeah, ~3.25 is about as high as they go.
you could go down the 11 multi, and that'll net you some extra memory speed.
Also dunno about the M2N32 but I know mine had a nice fsb hole from about mid 270 to the high 280's.

but don't expect much more out of it, you are indeed right against the wall.
I would like to know how you got 3.4 stable though. I've tried that so many times
Almost done...

I enver reached 3.4 stable.. I got it to boot windows and run orthos, but orthos failed within a short time. I tried playing with the voltage ranging from 1.4625 (what im running right now at 3303) up to 1.5625.. max for my board to put out. 1.56 was the closest thing to stable I could get at those speeds. I had it running 3240 with ram at 810 4.4.4.12 all night, tryin to get more out of it though, mostly on the ram side, would like to see 850 on the ram.
If I lower the multi, then I lose a buncha MHz on my cpu, then gotta raise the fsb wayyy up to geti t back? What did you set yours to, and how far u get it?

Not necessary for AM2. Those limits were for old socket 939.

Again, not necessary. All Nforce chipsets lock the PCI-E bus at 100 unless you manually increase it.

As far as being stuck on your overclock, you blamed it on your ram. Have you lowered the divider and tested the cpu at that same frequency where you said your ram couldn't keep pace? If not, do it now and see if it's actually your cpu that is unstable.
