A 7600gt or 8600gt and a 400w+300w psu(no pci-e connectors)

i'm gonna get a 7600gt or 8600gt(please tell me which one is the best) and i've two psu's a 400w and a 300w one with individual psu-switch board cables(but no pci-e connectors)....and my absolutely n00bic question is whether i can use them without power or do i get any pci-e to molex converter for the benifit of pci-e users like me???

8600GT and overclock it like mad. They don't need an axillary power connection since both draw much less than 75w.

I play FEAR,COD2,PREY and some powerful games too, but no dx10(i dont play much)....so a 8600gt does the job in these games??.....and please do confirm the requirement of a psu for it(i mean i dont have a pci-e connector on my psu)......THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

As far as i know 8600GT does better but not by much. Older games play better in 7600GT. Fear for me dosent run that well at all for some reason. I would say go for 8600GT as its newer at at least 10% faster.

Neither the 7600 or 8600gt require the six pin pci-e power adapter.
They dont have one.
