Which SLI mobo should I get to OC my E3110 (E8400) - Page 2

Depends on how much you're willing to spend, I'm about to purchase 2x 8800 Ultras from work and I have a E8400. I went with the EVGA 780i SLi just because I've never had any issues with EVGA, it supports tri-SLi if I ever get the cash for it and it looks damn cool.

First of all, the XFX/EVGA 780i boards are the best choice as they're both made by FoxConn who follow nVidia's reference design.

Thread Starter
Thanks man! My order is on it's way and should arrive tomorrow. I hope it goes well!

I traded my E3110 with my friend's QX6700 a week ago (I wanted to see If I had the same kind of issues overclocking it and I did...) and he likes the Xeon so much that he's buying mine

We're going to sell his QX6700 (which is currently in my machine) on eBay.

I'm actually buying another E3110 along with the mobo with a water cooling system (Swiftech H2O-220) and some CoolIt memory fan.

I really wanna get > 4GHz to unbottleneck my SLI system...
