I have emailed nvidia about this but the just send emails trying this driver that driver (i have tried about 5 now) and still nothing

is that your only monitor? If you are trying todo dual displays, unhook your regular monitor and run only your sony.Try that. After that [if it works] make the sony primary .

I am going to try to help out... I had the same problem with my HTPC. If I remember correctly I set my 42" as primary, turned off the computer, turned off my 15" monitor, then turned the computer back on. If I turn on the computer with my 15" on it always chooses that as primary no matter what I had it set to.

I don't know if that will help out because I know I messed around with a lot of other settings also... but that's what I narrowed it down to. Hope it helps.

I had a tv with a bad HDMI connection. Does your TV have more than 1?

Also, I've heard of a bad cable causing problems. The guy used a multimeter to check the resistance on each pin and found a bad one.

And not to be an insult to your intelligence, but do you have the correct input selected on the TV?
