Just added a new sound card!

Creative Labs - Sound Blaster Audigy SE Sound Card PCI card. Very easy to install, i have 4 PCI slots, so i slide it right next to my 2400 pro card, install the drivers and alright media player, and there you go! Took less then 20mins

I didn't think it will make that much of a difference, but the EAX audio is amazing. 5/5 stars. I haven't tested any games, but most of my new games have options to turn on EAX and stuff, so that should be fun to try out.

Aw, nice!! Just wait until you step up to the X-Fi XtremeGamer. I had the Audigy 2 ZS, and the difference is significant. It's true what Creative says, "Hear to believe."

I'm really happy for you! You have a really, really nice sound card! You can't go wrong with 24 bit hi-fi.

I think your card may have come with it's own graphic equalizer as well. Check it out. It's really nice. Also, play with the CMSS 3D since you have it. Well, just play with everything (I know you will anyway, but I encourage it!)

I have the same card in my rig.. Well used to. My 8800s arent breathing. I had to take the side of the case off because it got so hot it was overheating. I didnt have problems earlier when the Zantex tornado was in there, But it was to loud for me to stand. Anyway My 8800s are sucking air and they overheat sometimes so i have to use my onboard and take out the Audigy SE. Its to close to my cards...

Yea its working great. Thanks
Lots of features too. The X-FI Xtremegamer sound card looks good too, i might add that to my vista computer once i buy it, if the computer doesn't come with it or anything like it.

Peace

I will keep an eye on it, but i have 4 pci slots, i can just rearrange them. The Soundcard is behind the GPU tho, not in front of it. So the card is getting room to breathe. But maybe i should move the soundcard in the first slot and keep the GPU in the 3rd slot, if i have any problems.

Peace

Thats not the case here. These things consume way to much room. I should have just put the 8800GT in sli instead.

Im gonna put my cards on water. Thats the only way to keep them cool. Then maybe i can fit my sound card back in.. I MISS YOU AUDIGY!

If you're gonna go with the X-Fi XtremeGamer in Windows Vista, be sure to download Daniel_K's drivers unless Creative decides to make functioning ones.

And as for Sound Cards and Video cards - keep them as far away from each other as possible. I read or heard somewhere that both the rf and electrical interference is not good.

Edit: Nice green machine, sublime0!

x-fi sounds better than the Audigy 2 zs cos you have crappy drivers. With custom drivers, Audigy sounds a lot better for music listening.
