Ordering a 9850BE... Need the best mobo available ;) - Page 3

post #21 of 33
I dont know.. native 1066 support would mean that the bridges are designed for that speeds and have sufficient voltage to accomodate those requests.. OCing to from 800 to 1066+ may be a bit hard on the board, even if you are actually running 1066 ram... (IMO, plsd to not flame to death )

My M3A32-MVP supports 1066 but only when a Phenom is installed. Right now I'm running it with a 6000+ and 1066 Balistix. I have the memory set to 800 mhz and have had it clocked up as high as 1188 mhz during benching.
I run it at 1100 for everyday use..

I know nothing about this board, but thought you might throw it in the mix to research. It is a JetWay HA04

just a thought...

that jetway looks good. only thing is they probably should have moved the bottom PCI-E one slot down because its right beside the 2nd one. no dual slot cards there.

I'd stay away from the jetway unless you're doing WC. Those HS's might get in the way if you install something big for your BE. It just looks like an annoying setup, especially for installing a HSF.

The lower model DFI board looks like a good candidate: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813136044

Only 29 reviews but, it's a DFI!

Edit:
I think a lot of these boards are just pulling in suckers. People see the big heat sinks, the heat pipes and all that other shinny stuff...common we're not women!

Why do all the AMD motherboards only come with 4 SATA ports now (well a few have 6) but with 6 hard drives and 2 SATA burners, I'm left with no options ;_;

Anyone else having this problem? (Id rather NOT have to buy a couple SATA/RAID PCI cards just to hook up my HDDs)

I'd say DFI, they are known for Overclocking, and you are getting the "Black Edition" Phenom. I'd say if you want the most performance out of that thing, grab a DFI.
Asus quality has gone down the drain lately.
