Let me guess, your ISP is Bell???
They've really been putting the hammer down on any user using any form of
bandwith, within this year, of just people I know, one person got his total
allowable bandwith a month to 60gb (combined upload/download), and
another one is throttled to 50b/s the moment he downloads through more
than one connection (Torrents? Download Managers?). Considering a good
chunck of the population in Canada uses Bell, this has lead to a massive
problem here in Canada.

If this grid can hold its claim of being able to have transfer speeds that
fast... maybe It'll be worthwhile to pay the trillions it would take to employ it
world wide. Than again... maybe we'll have to just stick with being throttled
to hell and back

I remember when cable internet first came out, my computer couldn't keep up. This would do the same to 90% of the computers out there.

the intent of the HLC when first came out was to recreate to big bang experience. through this they would also create anti-matter to help them figure out as well. go to google videos and check out the BBC science videos they have on there. they have stuff on the HLC.

There is actually .001% chance that a black hole will form and not be able to be contained. I'll have to dig up the article, but it is entirely true that we might all be sucked up in a giant black hole when LHC is turned on.

Edit: I stand to be corrected.
