RAM Upgrade

Thread Starter
Hello,

I have an ASUSTeK P4SD-LA revision one mobo and I'm interested in getting some more RAM for it as it's only got 2x512mb sticks atm. I'm not sure what sort of RAM (DDR, DDR2 or DDR3) I can put in or if there's an upper limit on my mobo.

Thanks!

Adam

Here is the specifics of the motherboard

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...product=351810

It can support up to 4gb of PC3200 DDR 400

here is the newegg search of "PC3200"

I had this exact kit when I was on socket 939, great kit but doesn't like going past 240mhz. Mine had the old heatspreaders but I'm 99.999% sure that the kit hasn't changed other than that.

Brilliant, cheers! Just one last question though, since I'm still 32-bit that means I can only have a maximum of 2/3gb right? Would it be worth it leaving the 2x512mb in the two blue slots and getting a matched pair of 2x1gb to go in the black slots, or just take the old ones out completely?

Either way I'm looking here:

Or here:

Thanks again. Also now found out I've got 8xAGP I'm tempted with this too:

Better start saving!
