Synthetic benchmarks do not equate to real world performance.

ATi cards CHOKE when AA/AF is cranked up.

Actually it isn't so bad now. They still take a larger hit then nVidia cards but not near as bad as they used to.

thats the past, I dont think you can say that about vantage considering its never really been used before, Its not like anyone can look at that score and say, omg, thats astounding. 20k in 3dmark06 and thats pretty good, but who knows, maybe this will be a much better tool when it comes to demonstrating how well a video card will do in real world games.

just have to wait and see I guess once everybody starts using it and you can see real comparisons.

Newer drivers have alleviated this. They perform AA differently, using shader based AA. THis is supposedly supposed to become more efficient as games become more shader intensive...
