Weird lockups

I've reformated like 5 times in the past 3 days... and everytime i get the same problem... My PC locks up compleatly and im forced to do a hard reboot... anyone know whats wrong here? I think its my HD about ready to die..i've got two HD's in though, and tried to install XP on both of them with the same problem.. any suggestions?

Try clearing CMOS on your motherboard while you're diagnosing the problem.
