AMD Overclock Suddenly Failing while playing WoW

Thread Starter
Hello. Quick question for all of you. I've had my an overclock running in my sig rig ever since I have built it and now all a sudden my computer is locking up and crashing. I play Warcrack and noticed that the problem started right after the latest patch. I'm curious to know if its a problem with WoW or my Memory. My computer will pass Memtest but after a few minutes in WoW the computer would either blue screen(IRQL Not Less or Equal) or just outright lock up. I disabled all of my add ons and that seemed to rid me of the bluescreens but now I still get lockups. So I dropped the overclock off my memory and processor and it seems to be running fine now. Has anyone else has this problem? I guess Im just confused because after months of doing this OC I would have figured a hardware failure was to blame but then wouldn't it crash not overclock as well?

Please Help!
(+ REP for good anwsers)

Two things.
1) DxDiag
2) run SP2004 (Blend - CPU and Ram, Priority 9), run it when your rig is overclocked.

Sry mate but i firstly hear about your power supply, it's suspicious for me. I must do some research, and find some info about it.

p.s. sry for my english

I would say memory, driver or a corrupted file.I would run DOS memtest and reinstall any drivers you have changed and use Driver Cleaner Pro every time you change video drivers.

I would run memtest with each stick separately and let it go for at least 3 passes. Also, make sure you are using the bootable test and not the windows one. Use driver lceaner and remove all GFX drivers and reinstall.

When you test at lower speeds, are you adjusting your RAM accordingly? If the RAM is getting underclocked too, then it may be stable. The faster everything runs, the less stable it would be. A piece of hardware can start to become unstable at higher speeds while still remaining stable at lower ones.

b3owolf, when running memtest, please run tests 5 and 8 each for at least an hour. The default tests will sometimes not find errors. Please also go with cahir suggestion and run Orthos blend priority 9 over night. We'll found out if it's stable or not

Good luck

Ah about BSOD's.
download and install Debugging Tools for Windows
Start program -> press ctrl + D -> open .dmp file localized in your OS path. Folder should name dump or something similar.
At the end of file should be stated problem, if you can't find it paste log file here.

Ok, thanks for all of your help. I spoke with Blizzard and it was a problem with WoW trying to load out of date add-ons and crashing the system. Just for clarification I wasn't overclocking my ram, I was underclocking it. I also have run the recommened tests and havent had a problem. Thank you all for your help and +rep!
