F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ for the win!

Thread Starter
Everyone's been mentioning the HK series of ram, so I took one for the team and I'm running the PQ series. It's 2x2 gig sticks, a nice dark blue heat sink. I started tinkering with it, and at 5-5-5-15 @ 2 volts I'm running rock solid 228 fsb. I'm going to tweak with it more to see if I can't get it running any higher. At 230 with those speeds it doesn't pass occt and blue screens. I'll let you know what I find. Also, this is at 14x on my black edition.

I'm running the PQ as well.

They're a wonderful balance of performance and value.

I purchased a pair last week and have grown to like them quite a bit. There were a few BSODs at the start when I tried underclocking them to 400MHz to run with tighter timings, but I eventually got them down to 4-4-4-15 1T timings @ 400MHz after bumping the voltage to 2.1v, running good and stable. After the horror stories I've seen from the Crucial Ballistix line, I'm kind of glad I went with the G. Skill stuff for now, as they're working just fine and dandy for me.
