Or I am defending apple from people who refuse to get that people use them. And why would an apple fanboy be on OCN? Explain that.

I'm not an elitist. I like apple, i'm just sick of people praising them for being "better" than MS, but when push comes to shove, (doing some real investigation) they can be just as bad as MS at "misleading" (remember the vista capable sticker fiasco?) consumers about products.

I will have to agree with you on that. When I hear people mouth exactly what was said in one of there ads I cringe.

People will continue praising apple based off of whats said in there ads. As these people truly don't even know what they are talking about

Yes, I find it to be disappointing on apple's part. Although it is true that the iMac models are NOT, in fact, the industry media computers, it should have been specified that the monitors were indeed being downgraded. If you're going to say your systems are getting an update (ie, "new line of computers out now!"), then you better be upgrading the systems. Apple did not, so they deserve what they're getting.

Let's go over what Marin has brought to this thread:

We have this post:
http://www.overclock.net/hardware-ne...ml#post3675551
Where Marin is a) explaining how the "performance" (MacPro, MacBook Pro) computers are different from the "mainstream" models (iMac, MacBook).

We have this post:
http://www.overclock.net/hardware-ne...ml#post3675712
Where he defended against your claim.

And we have this post:
http://www.overclock.net/hardware-ne...ml#post3675751
Where he clearly denounces apple for their ads and deciphers the difference between the apple joblets and people who just happen to like apple computers.

So from what I can see, Marin is not a fanboy. He might favor Apple, as I do, but I don't think that makes either him nor myself a "fanboy." It's easy to see that he's not in love with steve jobs or telling you Macs are invulnerable to all forms of attack.

People here on OCN need to stop defining "fanboy" as someone who likes something else, or someone with a different opinion.

Marin isn't being a fanboy, and some of you right now are being PC fanboys. Shut up and realize every damn company does things wrong.

That happens more often than you might think - just because it's newer, that doesn't mean it's better.
