Appraisal: MICROMANS E8500 - Page 4

Ok, to those who aren't familiar with MicroMan's CPU stash. He has an inside line on CPU's directly from a source within Intel that sells him the most pristine CPU's ONLY! These CPU's are extremely Abnormal Overclockers. Not once have we seen a chip from MicroMan that did not OC better than anyone elses on this forum. He gets THE BEST chips directly from Intel. With that being said, I'd say $300 shipped is a fair amount to ask for a "MicroMan" E8500, and if I had the $$$$, I wouldn't hesitate!!

I only upgrade every 4 years or so. I mainly play games and just started overclocking for fun a little. I plan to run the E8500 at 4.0-4.3ghz 24/7 if I can get it that high on air with a nice low vcore.

My last system was
P4 Northwood 2.8ghz
2g (4x512mb) DDR400 Kingstone Value Ram
Nvidia 6800 ultra 256mb (agp)
Intel D865PERL mobo (worst board in the history of man)
heatsinks, fans, everything stock so yeah it's an old system.

my new armour + case just came in today and the only thing I'm missing now is the processor and video card. Waiting to or the video card until I place my order for the processor so that I can stretch the step-up as long as possible.
