Ok guys recently i have been having lag in Halo3 on my xbox360 and most likly its just Halo3 being gay because of peoples internet connections but it has been happening A LOT. So i was wondering is there anyway i can check my routers bandwith that its sending out? I have the Linksys WRT300N version 1.0 if my router does test out then 2morrow im gonna hook my 360 directly up to my modem and if i still lag as much im gonna buy this linksys wireless N gaming adapter.

I went here:

http://www.routertech.org/kb.php?mode=article&k=8

and clicked on the first link, which says "Use the Following Link to test the Download speed of your router. Results are in Kb/s."

http://www.dslreports.com/stest

Hope this solves your problem..

p.s. another solution would be to go get cod4 instead of halo3 because microsoft embedded 30 router killing viruses into halo 3 so that people would stop playing it, haha jk.. sorry I just don't really like halo 3

Speedtest.net is a good place as well. Another thing to try if you haven't already is forwarding the necessary ports on your router. If you are not sure how to do this, go to portforward.com and select your router and it gives you step by step instructions for numerous items, including Xbox Live. I set up my router using this site for my roommate's 360 and his online play is a lot better now.

that is why u flash it with DD-WRT and it has a bandwidth monitor on it so u can see what is going on and how much Internet your using etc.

But do some traceroutes to different websites etc and see how how your "ms" or ping is.

Anything below 150 about is good for xbox live that I have seen. Anything more you get to have lag like what you have been experiencing
