First post here.

But curious, you guys running 64 bit OS.

I switched to Vista Ultimate 64 bit from 32 and had to turn down my overclock about 300mhz, did some Googleing and didnt find a whole lot.

Is this normal, or might I have screwed something up...

1st off, welcome to OCN! im sure you will enjoy it here

i wonder if there is a way around this issue. i want to be able to use all 4gb of ram i am going to have and overclock. i guess 3.5gb is enough. well when i get my stuff i will test both versions before i buy my own copy

OK, i will be out of the loop for a few, i will format my HD and install a fress copy of vista. For whatever reason, i can not play UT3 or install the vista 64 SP1. let see what happen

I was hoping for a higher OC on mine, but overall I'm very happy with the new Phenom 9850. It is very solid and stable for everything I do.

Same here, except it bout piss me off this morning... AT 2.8ghz the thing was a bit unstable, had trouble booting to Windows, and the only thing that was different was room temp was a bit cooler than normal at 20C. As soon as the room warmed up to ~22C and even now at 25C the problems went away Does these things run better hot?? Left me clueless...

Gen I have been wondering that also. When the room temp was around 26c I noticed I could boot in a little higher and scored my highest 3Dmark06 at a little higher than normal temps also... Makes ya wonder eh!!!
Right now I'm running 32c CPU temp, which is 8-9c over ambient room temp. I think it does run its best at 32-35c, but would like to see it run higher to see how is does.
