I don't know if this will help or not....

My friend's 9850 Black rig was giving a :

clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor

After hours of trying different things ....what cured His rig was to underclock the 3rd core using AOD.

Since then he hasn't had the problem.

I personally have never had it on my rig.....But it could help so i thought I would share.

Was he running on stock clock?

No he was at 3.1ghz 15.5x Multi

I now have him @3.3ghz on a 16.5x Multi

and so far so good (fingers crossed) lol

but alot of it seems to be with Vista 64bit.....I have no I dea why though.

Other then that Both of us Love vista and will not go back to XP for any reason
post #734 of 941
Ya, 64 bit Vista gives stability issue, thats why i also had get back to 32 bit. Now at 3.0 Ghz at 1.28 vcore. Can push it to 3.2+ but need way too much voltage and temps go rocket. Until i get a water cooling system i have to live with at 3.0 ghz

EDIT: The error that u mentioned early can be resolved sometime by adding a bit voltage to the SB. I had this issue with my prvious rig with a x4 9500 at 2.82 and adding some SB voltage gave me stability.

I am going to be trying some stuff With how many cores I set to boot
vista as default it only uses 1 core

I just changed it from 1 core to 4 core

and everything seems faster.....it could be just a mental thing but I don't think so

Same here when Im on Vista 64 side I can only get 3.3 with 1.525 volts, I havent really pushed it more..XP(32) SP3 side I can get 3.6

On my sig rig in Vista 64bit SP1 I can hit 3.4

But I really had to mess around with the HT and Mem controll freq.....vCore and cpu NB VID were both at 1.525V

And also for the life of me @3.4ghz my ram will not run @1066mhz.... it will at 800mhz.

@3.3ghz I can run it @1066mhz

I can almost get it to boot into vista @3.5ghz But it will take for me way too much Voltage (GRRrr)

I made a mistake the block on the AMD rig is a v1, the v2 is in my Intel rig.

I have a CPU and GPU loop in my sig rig. A BIX240, MCP350 pump w/XSPC top in my CPU loop and a BIX360, MCP355 w/XSPC top and 3 MCW60 GPU blocks in that loop.

I never call anyone a noob

We were all "Noobs" and we are still trying to figure it all out lol.

Anyways

MSCONFIG-----> Boot Tab -----> Advanced Options

Then check number of processer's

and choose how many you want.

I will have to say I really don't know if it's doing anything at all....But it can't be hurting any.

I am going to be seeing if it allows any easier boot While seeing if I can get a higher OC.

I can almost boot into vista @3.5ghz
