I read 61 for core temps?

I figured if it stays below 61 during a 5 minute stress test (even at 60.5) it will be fine because pretty much no application runs all 4 cores at 100% for five minutes.

My Gigabyte rig will not do 3.5ghz lol (grr) .... I just got done on my final attempt ( Window open, comp side panel off, and placed it right next to the opening.... even though my cpu temp @ 1.59v was 12C it would not boot into Vista (only in safe mode...but I didn't count that as legit). I still believe it will on XP but it isn't worth the trouble for me.

i am happy with 3.468ghz...Anyways 24/7 it's at 3.3ghz

Now I can move on and Focus on my new 9850 Black rig w/ Foxconn Destroyer

I am working on a review for it.

Replaced my current CoolitPure waterCooler (which did do a greate job btw) with a CM Z600 Cooler. When I tested this Cooler a few weeks ago for a friend, the temps where really low 33C at 3GHz Idle and 55C Load.
Then I got myself a Z600, but the temps are horrible!!
I kinda lost my AS5+ paste, so I bought some Nexus paste. Temps are still 38-41C Idle @3.15GHz (VCore 1.375V) and load 60!! Even with a 1200rmp CM fan on it.
I replaced the Pure fro the Z600 for some quietness, cuz I mounted a Scythe KazeUltra 3000RPM on my CoolitPure WC (damn the noise it produces).
Maybe the airflow from the 1200rpm fan is a bit too weak to cool it extra?

Waiting for the AS5+ to arrive so I can test it again to c itf temps are lowered....
Is my 9850 dieing?
Any other ideas?

**Edit**
I added the Kaze Ultra to it and the temps dropped with 5C, sound did increase a bit (not on full capacity), but it's beeing cooled much better now.

Added the AS5 to it, but still got the same temps.
Can anyone tell me that when the cpu is "dieing" will the temps be higher?

when you tested it before, what cpu was it being tested on?

It was on the same CPU, but different cooler back then. That's why I bught 1 for my self. But looking at this I think I should reinstall my CoolitPure WC set.
