Black Edition 9850 Owners Club - Page 91

^ nice, i was under the impression these didnt like a FSB bump and we were pretty much stuck with multiplier increases. i just picked up a 9850BE and a MSD K9N2-SLI Platinum, eager to see what it will do.

Btw, what is the stock voltage supposed to be? What is the voltage cap you guys have been hovering around? I can see the voltage readings in CPU-Z, but i dont know what kinda vdroop/drop the board has so it would be good to know what its *supposed* to be.

have it running amd overdrive stability test 3hrs far cry2 long ranch 5x loop and 1.5hrs of stcc opening and closing of various applications had this cpu on a asus m3a32-mvp and could only get 2.7 mhz x4 now on this DFI mobo its @ 3000mhz 215fsb 14x multi ram upped 1.925 volts cpu 1.335volts and the acc is @+6 it has to be the SB750/acc that's allowed more headroom because i was starting to think my cpu was a lemon on the asus board would like to try for more mhz but think watercooling is needed 1st as my load temp is 54/55 on air so think its enough heat for now

Well, I've been a busy bee. Making a hive centered around my m2n32 and now I can officially join the 9850BE Club. So add me if you will, thanks.

I've been offered a 9850 BE with a DFI Lanboy JR 790GX for £150 ($215), is it worth it? For comparison's sake if i just bought the mobo and added a new PhII 720 it'd cost me an extra £55 ($78).

I'm inclined to say yes really. The mobo is a definite purchase because my current one is a bit crappy, it can't take PhIIs and won't OC the BE-2300 past 2.3GHz. I can't really see any reason to go for the 720 over the 9850 either, other than it being the fashionable chip at the moment. The £55 saving would surely be better put towards a graphics card? In that market it's the difference between a 4830 and a 4870 1GB.
