O.o, Yea my Ram is at 2.1v so its running at 1066. so you think to get 3ghz stable i should drop it down to 800mhz on the ram and start increasing fsb? if so what timings should i go for. its at 5-5-5-15 right now. My HT and NB is on Auto at 2k on both. Thanks for the tips HondaGuy

edit: I raised memory voltage back up to 2.1v (what these sticks call for) and seems to have brought my stability back. I've read that running 2volts on the memory will usually crash the phenom's, but I don't have a choice as my memory needs 2.1v to run stable?

I had this memory on my 5000+ that was clocked from 2.6 to 3.1 stable, so I'm thinking the power requirements of this phenom is too much, need to get that EPS12V adapter (p8)
Stupid question - are you using 4 DIMMs? Phenom aren't stable at 1066 with 4 full DIMMS.

I was running 4x1Gb Tracers with M3A32-MVP and Phenom 9850.....CPUZ are in my sig...Just leaving your ram at 2.1 with 1066, wont matter if there running at 1066 if you dont raise your FSB...just changed the CPU Multi. Also you can changed the NB Multi to 11x and leave the volts on stock for NB, I was able to changed mine to 13 which equals NB @ 2600Mhz with 1.5 volts in bios, but then agian every mobo is different

I'm stable at 3.2 (200x16) with 1.54v. Load temp during OCCT is 63C. Can I push this chip a little bit more by upping the ref clock?

WOW thats hot..these chips are good to 61, you shouldnt have to need 1.54volts just for 3.2, try lowering your cpu volts and test it again to see if its still stable, you have to look into some better cooling for your case if you want to push that chip more.
EDIT: just was looking at your case, do you have two fans installed on the side panel? and one on the back? Just make sure that you have them in the right direction,

HondaGuy, I will try lowering the vcore a bit and see if its still stable.
As for cooling, the sunbeam CCF is running at max and oriented so that hot air exits to the rear.

The fan setup in my cm690 is like this:
- 2 intake front (110 cfm and 68cfm)
- 1 intake bottom (68cfm)
- 1 exhaust rear (110cfm)
- 2 exhaust top (45cfm)

I might have to re-seat the heatsink again.
