I know, im just being a tight-fisted scotsman! i have bitten the bullet and forked out a small amount of cash for a Hiper 580w from ebay. Hopefully it should run a lot quieter. It should last me a long time before it becomes the weakest point in my system again. At that point I will get a nice antec or something.

Ok I have received and fitted the new hiper 580w and im really impressed, its running really quietly! I was surprised that my graphics card is now the thing making the most noise. Think I will need to find out about gpu coolers now.

Realize this: your quest won't ever end. Once you silence your GPU... you'll notice that your CPU is loud... you'll silence that and notice your PSU is loud again. Pretty soon, you'll spent $800 just to silence your $500 system.
Once again...

You tell them! I can feel my own Scot blood boiling (all 12.5% of it)! lol.

Seriously bud, just pick yourself up a decent PSU. It's the lifeblood (no pun intended) of your system. Your components will thank you!
