XP smoker pro VS autoruns?

Thread Starter
I setup a second hardware profile for gaming with limited services, that I am able to select at bootup -as shown on Blackviper website. However there are still more services I need to disable for my gamer profile that I can't see from "services" menu, so I've been using autoruns every time I load gamer profile after bootup to remove the rest. Autoruns make me restart computer again but I guess I can live with that. In autoruns, can I save a configuration profile? If so I don't see how. Or is there at least a select-all, feature I can use instead of having to check every service individually every time. Someone recommended XP smoker pro program to me. Is this a good program to use? Will it disable all the services I'm using autoruns for?

When you say the Services menu, are you talking about Services.msc?

Here are two areas in the Registry that I have memorized which I check on a regular basis to see what's there that isn't listed in Services.msc.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\ CurrentVersion\\Run This is what I have called the "Main Run". Of the two, it's the one where almost everything ends up.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\C urrentVersion\\Run In here is where I've found things that weren't in Services.msc OR the "Main Run". I call this one the "Other Run", which seems to rarely have anything in it. But I've still found things, so I still keep checking it.

And just for fun, here's another registry key I've memorized to help me keep the list of entered Run Commands clean, or rather, I keep only what I know I'll use more than once:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\C urrentVersion\\Explorer\\RunMRU

Anyway, I hope this was actually helpful for your purpose.
