WRONG. See my post above yours.

Unless of course you agree with people making a mockery of our legal system for their own personal benefit.

Well hopefully this doesn't happen for a while or they don't win. I planned on my next PSU being a Silverstone Decathlon series...

Solder + electrical tape.
You assume I have a solder kit, and that I don't care of my black cables have electrical tape on them. You are mistaken on both counts. And that still doesn't excuse the fact that there should cable replacements for a PSU with lifetime warranty.

Companies that patent other's ideas and then sue years later for reimbursement are the lowest form of scum in existence IMO.

Performance-pcs was modding PSU's to be modular LONG BEFORE jackass Ultra ever sold a modular PSU.

Scum.
Didn't know that about Performance-PCs. If that is the case, then Ultra is being lame. Still can't beat their lifetime warranty and price/performance, unfortunately, and I already own one anyway so I can't not buy one...

Patent squatters! They wait for a bunch of companies to release modular power supplies and THEN they sue them.

Then again, all the other companies knew about the patent. Therefore, who's at fault now? Which is worse... Patent Squatting or Patent Stealing?
Once again...

Well, had modular power supplies been out before Ultra created that patent? That's the real question.

My first PSU was an Ultra X-Connect 400w (silver finish). It came with a 20pin mobo connector, so I went into Microcenter and bought the 24-pin connector for like $5. They had a whole lot of different types and connectors, I'm sure you could find a replacement cable at Fry's or Microcenter (or online).

I think Ultra's in the right here. Maybe they didn't invent it, but when has that stopped a company from patenting something? I don't see how they are morally wrong here, they own the patent, and other companies are profiting from it.
