6 feet of tubing (for a first build especially) will be kinda tight. I'd go for 10-12 ft. Nothing more frustrating than to not be able to complete a build 'cause you're short on tubing.

I can get aluminum at some of the jobs site I work at easy since I'm a carpenter, so all I have to do is put my skills to the test. Thanks Ira-K. All the measurments will help a lot so tommarrow I'm going scavenger hunting. I have some hi-temp automotive gasket sealant from changing my oil pan gasket in my impreza so I wonder if this will do better than silicone.
Sounds like fun....Yeah you can use high temp red if you want to, it just shows up more then the clear...I take the o-rings off my barbs and use hi-temp on them...

I got the D-Tek, tubing and panaflows yesterday, so now i'm waiting for the pump Rad, res. So for now my rig is under the knife. Using my wifes laptop for the moment, and the bad part is that I won't get the rest until this coming tuesday. UPS sucks.

Edit: I have 3 120x25mm LIAN LI LI121225BL-4 case fans. I'm wondering if they are any good. I can't seem to find any info on these things, so I just might gut them out to build a shroud since i've replaced them with some Antecs.

I think some of the Lian Li fans are Adda fans, something like that, not bad fans, I bet they would make better shrouds for the Pana's though...

Take your time and enjoy the doing, I always screw something up when I start rushing...

True. I've already started preping the case and have it gutted out.

I'm waiting for the rad, but I was wondering. I want to cut the case and have three fans on top (layout shown above) So I was thinking from the bottom up:

Radiator > 3 120mm fans gutted to use as shrouds > then Pana flows > then the case cut then putting in some grills for the finishing touch.

So basically its like this:

I'm not sure if this is good since the panas are not blowing thru the rad, but I am going to buy another 3 sometime soon. I'm guessing your going to say no, because that makes since after thinking about it.

I know i'm going to cut out the middles of the 120mm fan shroud using a band saw to get rid of the dead spots so i'll just have 3 gutted fans with the inside diam cut leaving the outside to screw to the rad.

Well pulling air through the rad with a GTX seems to work a little better then pushing it does anyway...The only bad thing I can see with it now is you will be pulling the hottest case air through your rad...I think I'd flip the fans over and have them pulling the cooler room ambient air into your case...You would have to have a lot of exhaust fans to keep a negative air pressure, you know what I mean? Thats where you will have more air leaving your case then coming in...I like negative better then positive because it helps to prevent any hot spots....

Its your rig and I would do it however you like, but me I would mount it to the top of the case with a couple of inches of space between your rad and the top of the case so you will have unobstructed air flow through the rad..That will give you the best temp's anyway....

Well my wife already complains that the living room get hot when I'm on the computer, but I blame that on the old cooling kit, Theres so many ways of doing this that I can't decide, but you do make some pretty good points, then on the other hand i'm glad I haven't cut the holes yet. Keeping the rad out and having the loop come out from the top seems better for the system since hot air won't enter the case and stay outside of it. So many possablilities. This is why i've decided to decomission the comp and take my time laying out the case and finding many ways, but the bad thing is that shes going to be out possably until friday after leak testing the loop, and getting everything tidy.
