Yes, the 4 pins from the 24 pins connector are detachable. So I plug this 24 pins + the detachable 4 pins into the connctor as shown in the pic.

However, I didn't plug in the 4 pins right next to the CPU. I'll try plug it in and will get back to you guys.

I'm using this RAM:
http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16820231166
Just noticed the ram: Gigabyte default ram voltage is 1.8vdimm. The ram is rated for 2.0-2.2 vdimm. Try only a single stick of ram in slot #1. If you get into bios, you'll have to up the ram voltage to 2.1 vdimm to get the pair up to specs.

Ok, lets start this over again, but lets start right.
First off, you need to display your system hardware below your posts, and here's how you do it:

Click on 'UserCP" atop this page.
When you get a new screen, click on "Edit System", fill in the hardware blanks, and save.
They will automatically be displayed after a post by you.
Do it, it only takes a few minutes. We can help troubleshoot better when we are familiar with your hardware.

Looks like you will be needing some DDR2 RAM 1.8volts.
OR DDR3 at 1.5V

According to the motheboard specs anyhow.
"
DDR3:

1. 2 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 4 GB of system memory
2. Dual channel memory architecture
3. Support for DDR3 1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules

DDR2:

1. 4 x 1.8V DDR2 DIMM sockets supporting up to 8 GB of system memory(Note 1)
2. Dual channel memory architecture
3. Support for DDR2 1200 (O.C.)/1066/800/667 MHz memory modules
"

If I am wrong, please feel free to correct me.

So do I have to get a cheap RAM with Voltage 1.8V?
