Repost,

Kidding dude but I would go with the 8800GTX as it would fit my needs (1650x1200), but we'd need more insite on what you'd be doing with your rig.

Drivers are still screwy with 9 series so its your choice i'd go 9800GTX though and wait for good drivers

9800gtx=8800ultra

9800GTX is better but I would stick with 768mb 8800GTX as of now especially at that price. A loaded rig with one 8800gtx needs 450W PSU with 30A. Max power of single gtx is 176W so the total is around 800w.

The 9800GTX performs slightly better than the 8800GTX. Personally, I don't think it is enough of a gap to justify the higher price. I think the 8800 will be plenty for that monitor.

I never really pay much attension to stock clocks as they go out the window when you overclock the card. Regardless, I think anything more than the 8800 would be overkill for that rig and monitor.

Also needs to know that it all comes down the sync speed once you do sli whether it is a stock or OC edition card.
