Slow broadband through router

Thread Starter
I used to be able to get download speeds of up to 300Kbps but recently it seems have capped itself at around the 100 mark as i never seem to get much higher than that, my connection is supposed to be ''up to 8meg'' but i have never seen anything higher than 300Kbps.

Could it have something to do with the router we are using?

Does anyone have any ideas why it has suddenly decided to go slower i haven't fiddled around with any router settings and even when my PC is the only one on the home network it still maxes out at around 100Kbps

Rated speed is never true download speed. Try forwarding your ports. Portforward.com
