I've looked at that mentioned MSI p35 platinum a few times. Was one of the first ones I looked at. And was checking out the MSI P35 Neo2-FR at the same time. I left them alone because they support crossfire over sli, and their two x16 slots work at x4 speeds when crossfire employed anyway.

BUT Idon't think you have any intrest in sticking 2 GPUs in there, or overclocking, which leaves RAM speed, and future proofing as your two main issues? The DS3L's RAM OCs to 1066, the DS3R handles 1066 without OCing. If the OCing is incredibly easy, or if the speed difference between 800MHz and 1066MHz is negligible, I would save a few bucks and go with the DS3L. (or that DFI B.I. P35-T2RL everyone is suggesting $117 can)

(side note: I want read 2 x16 SLI, and ability to handle future 45nm chips, 1066MHz (PC-8500, yes heh), and good overclocking. Am spending serious extra money for the EVGA Nforce 750I SLI Ftw )
