Mmmmm that's really weird.. buy.com doesn't have them in stock and they used to be advertised for $99.99 everywhere.. and now they are so hard to find..

you could try ebay or getting them in great condition uesd off of amazon I think I saw one for 79.99 on there

Just check around.. like I said they used to be everywhere for $$99.99

I hate that I don't have anything new to contribute (though I agree that the ExtremeAudio is no good, cans are the way to go, and Sennheisers are awesome-though I prefer AKG) but I feel the need to point this out.
tehpwnerofn00bs, you live in the States, and yet you give the metric measurement instead of the equally, if not even more common 1/4" and 1/8". Nothing wrong with that, I just find it interesting.

edit: also, the included adapter is 1/8" female to 1/4" male, so no need to use it with a iPod/CD player/Walkman/pocket radio/portable 8-Track/Ghetto-Blaster/etc.

AS the others have said, the xtreme audio is a terrible buy. it's not even a true x-fi card.

Also, I'm not recommending the 540's over the z series, as the z-series is probably the best logitech can offer. it's just that at a low price, the 540's are pretty decent, and i enjoy them thoroughly.

I just posted those numbers because that's how they're given on the specs lists.

And for the record, I think our system is stupid. Metric FTW.

i can vouch for the z5300e's... theyre pretty good. and you can get them for less than $150. http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...cture=Logitech ...thats a canadian site, but they ship to the US as well. $110 canadian. so itll be a little cheaper in US$.

Yea, I'm looking at the Z5300e's and the z-5500's. Is it really worth paying the extra $140 for the z-5500's ??

Okay, after convincing my parents.... I'm going to be picking up some z-5300e's
I told them they could use it with their dvd player (which only does analog out) and now I don't have to pay a dime.

I might be back for some help after I pick them up from Memory Express.
