28 mins artifact scanning it hit 78'c
fan 100%
I would reccomend these drivers: XtremeG 174.70 tweaked

If you stay stable for 2 hours on ATItool you should be alright anywhere. I really woudnt go past 80c on the gpu tho. As mentioned before, aftermarket cooling always works

It worked great for my volt-moded 7600GS... it dropeed the temps from 112 to 60 Load
and from 75 to 42 Idle
The 8800gtx would evaporate that lol....

you can try to put a 92mm fan in the mid-drive bay of the p182 to blow cool air into GTX cooler.

and you can also buy a PCI blower fan to suck hot air from the GTX vents.

i've done the blower fan, dropped temperature by 5c, and im in the progress of getting a 92mm fan. currently idle at ~60c (normal, didn't drop much) and ATI Tool load at maximum of 80c (again, similar to yours) for overclocked speeds see my sig (didn't bother with memory as they already have more than enough bandwidth)

Well, the cards can run hot, thats for taken, but it will be at the cost of stability. I couldnt get my 8800GTS512 running stable at 650core with 80c under load, but when i turned the fun up to 100% the temp droped to 64c and im rock solid stable.

IF you overclock to far you will actualy see a decrease in performance!
