M2NSLI-Deluxe Defective?

I've been really messing around with my latest AMD OC (5000+ BE 3.2GHz 4GB RAM @ 917MHz)..

i had the setup running stable for 24 hours in memtest, then it gives me an error. after that, not matter what settings i set the ram to (even stock), i get errors. this happens until i remove one pair of ram sticks. If i then run the pairs seperately, no problems occur. Then I put all 4 sticks back in and its 'stable' again for 24 hours, then gives me an error. VERY FRUSTRATING!!

so I took the OCZ sticks out and now I'm running 2x1GB ballistix @ 800 4-4-4-12. i've been running memtest, but it won't mean anything till I break the 24 hour barrier..

HERES THE PROBLEM!

when using lower multipliers (like 11 or 12) and using the DDR800 settings in the BIOS, the divider is usually one less than what IT SHOULD BE. I have read the DDR2 ram divider charts and for example using 12 at 800 ram should give me a 6 divider.. but I get a 5 divider..

WHY!?!?

is my motherboard defective? Do I need a BIOS update? I don't understand why it's using weird dividers... At one point I think I was using 220*12 and that would give me a 6 divider but 221*12 would give me a 5 divider.. and the only thing I changed was +1FSB.. this doesn't make sense to me..

well, mixing memory is ill-advised, as is running 4 sticks for overclocking. I have the M2N32-SLI Premium Vista Edition and its giving me less problems now that I removed 2 of my sticks. Was not able to run at 3.25 stable whereas now I am, and also couldnt reach 850mhz on ram before and right now im over 860. Its weird, but thats my experience. I updated the bios but im not sure if that helped or made it worse or just didnt do anything. Either way, try that.

ok well now i have a new problem.

i set the fsb to 200 and the cpu mult to 13.. i set the ram divider for 800
i run memtest and it shows the cpu speed at 2613 (it should be 2600) and ram at 403mhz

so i lower the multiplier to 12 and run memtest again. now it's showing 2411 and 401mhz

what's going on here?

edit:: with the multiplier at 13 the ram is set to 435 with divider at 800.. it's using a 6 divider when it should be using 7. wth?
