8800GT or 8800GTS

Hi! I want to upgrade my current video card. i know this might sound dumb but i just want to know what is better 8800GT or 800GTS..i can spend no more than $250.. and is newegg the cheapest store to buy this kind of stuff...and another thing when looking for a new card what should i bee looking at? is it the core clock and stream processor? stuff like that? Tnx in advance!

Depends on resolution. Also your CPU will hold you back a bit. I had the same CPU at 3.0 ghz and when I switched to my quad, i got a good 20+ FPS instantly in games like 64 man BF2 servers.

I'd say GTS, as it is better, but news released today on this site states that they are phasing GTS's out and keeping GT's only.
I'd get this. $180 after rebate and much better custom cooling than other GT's.
Edit: People are saying that it is likely, but that Fudzilla (the source) is a bit shaky. I still stand with my original choice however.

i dont think you can go wrong with a gts...with the better cooler you can overclock super high

No need for quadcore. Very few games are optimised for four cores.
