Whenever I sell something on eBay, I get my friend's mom, who's a notary, to notarize a document saying that whatever I sold is in working condition, or whatever condition I'm selling it in, from the time the box was sealed to the time I left to the post office.

Looks like everything is gonna go good, I will mail him the reciept and make sure he knows its as-is. I did ask him how he wanted to ship,and he said my shipping was fine. He sent a pic, and they look a bit loose at the seem. Thanks for all those who helped! reps+!

edit: the headphones were worht 70, i sold them for 40 insurance via USPS would have been pricey and shipping via UPS would have been hell.

Sorry this happened.
It is one of the reasons I charge a bit more for shipping, because I include insurance on any item I ship.
As for e-bay/ paypal protecting only the buyer, that is crap. I have gotten screwed 2 times by a seller selling me something different than what was described.

Personally, I would tell the buyer your sorry it was damaged during shipping, but if they did not purchace insurance, then they need to file a claim with the shipper. If need be, it will go through e-bay and paypal resolution, you may win, you may not.

I almost always use Fedex for shipping... They have cheap ground shipping with insurance only being about $1.80 for over $200 I believe...

Tell the buyer the he can return the headphones to you for a refund. If they were in mint shape and you got insurance you can file a claim with your shipper and they'll go pick up the headphones and give you money for them to refund the guy

He probably already had a broken set to begin with, bought your's (in good condition) and then is trying to return his old broken set. that happens alot...it's called fraud and retailers have to put up with it all the time. that's where shipping insurance comes in handy. now he can blame the post office instead.
