PS3 DNS Error

Thread Starter
I keep trying to connect to the internet with my PS3 using a new router, before I put the router into the equation, everything was fine. I keep getting a DNS error during the second stage of testing my connection. I wanna keep the router as I have one access port in the wall, and three things need an internet connection. Any ideas?

I have not worked with the MAC filter before, but if you're not on a MAC filter, try this. This helped me pass my connection test.

Go to Settings > Network Settings > Media Server Connect and disable this.

I believe that option allows you to transfer stuff from your PC to PS3.

Ooooooooo, that's another thing. Last night before I had the router, I was streaming movies from my PC, which was one of the major reasons for me purchasing the PS3. Now my PS3 can't detect my PC......Do you think the new router needs a firmware update or something?
