How to connect copper pipe to barbs/blocks?

Ok so I had the crazy idea to instead of using plastic tubing on my pc (which I have currently), to use copper pipe instead.

Ive got no problems routing the copper pipe around my case, I can join it up etc ok, but I have no idea how to do the last "mile" as it were.

Any ideas on how to connect the pipe to the blocks or barbs? I dont mind which the copper pipe would be connected to, the block or the barb is fine. I have to connect the pipe to the cpu block, northbridge, radiator, pump and reservior. Its a mix of plexi and metal stuff so a connection to the metal barbs would be easiest.

try using that gunk in a tube that they use to seal things with, not sure what its called lol but you probably got the idea, just put it on the barb then squeez the pipe over and let it dry then leak test it for a long time to make sure. id use a rubber based epoxy stuff that im talking about cause i know they make hardening stuff but i think that might be brittle and crack and leak.

put a screw end on the copper pipe and weld it to it. very easy.

the sealant isn't as leakproof as welding, and personally I like safer >> cheaper

Just flare the end of your copper pipe and use regular tubing for the last couple of inches from tubing to barb, it would make it a lot easier to hook it all up...If not that compression fittings would work...Get a some bending springs or a little tube bending mandrel, it will make it a lot easier...

Just an FYI, from what I've read on other forums (I had this idea as well), the cooling benefits are essentially nothing because any heated ambient air will probably heat up the comparatively-very-cool coolant.

In addition, flow is constricted due to a larger number of 90-degree elbow turns. Using flexible tubing would of course be ok, but messier. One small concern with using the tubing is if the tubing (flexible!) accidentally touches an electrical component while the computer is running...

But hey, it will look very cool!

I was thinking about dooing this a while ago when I was building my chiller. I intended to use compression fittings but I didn't think they would fit all the blocks in my application(CPU+2GPU). Only issue with compression fittings I have heard you can only use them once, and then you have to replace the compression ring. Post some pics though if you get this going.

Ira's flared end idea would be easier and would allow for some bending error, the compression fittings would not. You are gonna have to cut the compression fittings down to 2-3 threads max otherwise they will not fit into most waterblocks(compression fittings are either NPT or NPS thread and most blocks are BSPP) and unless I'm mistaken the fuzion is BSPP. the compression fittings would give a nice look but you would have to bend and cut everything almost perfectly, which is why i didn't do it. If you can deal with having 2 inches of tubing i would recommend the flared end method.
