Samsung 245BW dead pixel... What is samsung's policy?

Thread Starter
So I have searched around their site and found more than one response. I saw that they replace any monitors with dead pixels (even one) , and I saw that on high rez screens (24") They do 17 :S Which one is correct (for canada)? Thanks.

is it dead (black only) or stuck (one color)?

If it is stuck, you might be able to revive it with one of the online pixel fix tools.

Canada's pixel policy is confusing as heck. You can download it for yourself here...(FAQ #9)

I am quite sure it is dead. Under a white background it is pink, but under a black it isn't noticable (unless you look reeeaaallly hard). So i am quite sure it is dead.

i have the same lcd..exactly the same problem too. many stuck, dead pixels.. my solution:

1. wrap a piece of damp soft cloth (no abrasion) around a pencil eraser
2. put some pressure (hard, but not extremely hard) and press on it for a few seconds and then back off.. Try it in a circular motion. After about 30 mins, no more stuck, dead pixels..

3. tested using a full screen single color program using white, black, pink, cyan and it's all good...

yes!! try it..

in the end, do this at your own risk. it worked for me, but may not work for you. good luck
