can anyone tell me what vcore and other volts they used to get 3.6ghz with this cpu stable on this mobo. im just having a hardtime, at first i set the fsb to 400 so it be 1:1 with the ram and started at 1.4vcore and slowly went up to 1.475vcore which passed orthos for 2hours. i played cod4 and some hl2 mods without any problems for the day. then the next day i turned on my computer and played cod4 and i would be unstable so i restarted the computer and turned on coretemp to monitor temp,easytune5pro to monitor vcore, orthos to test and i failed within the first 2mins (small FFT test). i went to bios and started uping the vcore more, up to even 1.525v. even at that high vcore i still crashed during the test so it seems strange that one day it works on 1.475v 2hours orthos then the next day it won't even be stable 20mins on 1.525v.

any help is appreciated
:)

can anyone help me?

btw i just tested 3.5ghz (388x9) with vcore in bios set to 1.42 and its stabled on orthos for 45mins (quited testing to play cod4). if i can stable on 1.42 for 3.5 then does it mean i hit a cpu wall since 3.6 wouldn't stable on vcore of 1.525 which is a huge volt increase for only 100mhz more.

if you were stable at 3.5 stay there for now and enjoy! Fill in your system specs in your user CP. Post your settings for 3.5 including vcore, MCPv, FSBv, and your temps.

Change ratio to 1:1 (FSB:RAM) then loosen timings "or" tighten timings and up memory voltage. And what about ur temps can you post a screenshot or something?

I have the same board and was using an E6600 but I was never able to reach 3.6ghz. It just got too hot before I could reach it. The highest that I tested was 386x9 and at 1.525 in the bios it wasn't stable. The highest stable o/c i got was 382x9 @ 1.50625v. The voltage seems high but the bios reading is a lot higher than in reality. Under load the difference is close to 0.10v.
