Help with my 8800GTS

Thread Starter
Ok so I have a 8800GTS from BFG that came overclocked a bit. 580/1700
I have seen many people getting more than 680-700Mhz core and higher than 1800MHz mem.

If I go higher than 630/1800 it will shut down on me during testing. What could be the issue?

Sry I may have posted this in the wrong section.

what drivers are you using? it might be the driver that your using not letting your overclock stick and making it crash. (just an idea its been a while since ive played with overclocking vid cards.)

One problem I've had was: I couldn't get past 640 core clock without increasing the shaders higher than they were. I used Rivatuner and "Unlinked" the shader and core. When I reached my max, I increased the shader a little higher and I was able to get up to 675 core.
