no you cant. i have problems at veryhigh at a res of 1440X900 so there is no way your playing very high with one card that is weaker than one of mine.

I call BS on that too. In XP/DX9, I average about 40-45fps with mostly high settings, and two on medium. On all high settings my fps drops to about 28-30 constant, and that is just a bit too low for me. No AA/AF, 1680x1050.

I run a 700:1 Acer model (probably the one you are talking about - check my sig) and I am very happy with it. It was between this and the Samsung 226BW, a common choice people make. If money is an issue, go with the Acer and you won't regret it IMO. However, if money is no object, ALWAYS get the Samsung.

He didn't say how many FPS he gets, right? Just that he can play it.

off topic a bit here but...

I tried to run the crysis benchmark (and failed) to find out what i ACTUALLY got, i get around 25fps which i think is playable in crysis (but not many other games).

id call bs too if someone said they could get 45fps on ultra high at 1680x1050. i doubt 2xultras could do that.

25fps with no AA of course.

Both monitors have 2ms gtg response time and 5s otherwise. There's no difference other than the 2" difference. I'll trade 2 inches for a better picture any day, especially when there's about a foot from where I'm sitting and where my monitor rests on my desk.

My 22" acer is awesome and it dosent look like any pixels are stretched. There isn't much of a price gap between 22" and 20" so go with a 22". Also my single 3870 can handle most games on highest settings with the max res. (excluding crysis )
