Better board or better cooling?

Hello all. I'm faced with a dilemma. I have a great clocking q6600 but my temps get out of hand when shooting for 3.6GHz and I think it's due to how high I have to set my voltage in bios just for a reasonable load voltage. Running stable at 3.2GHz, I'm losing about .1v from bios to CPU-Z load. 1.281 in Bios gives me 1.232 idle, 1.184 load (CPU-Z). Which route would be the better route to take, better cooling or a better board? I'm thinking better board but I wanted to see what other's would do. If I only lost .02v or so, I think I could run 3.4GHz at this same bios setting on another board.

Assuming you have the stock cooler since you didn't list what you have, i'd say better cooling. The P35 DSL3 is a pretty good OC board.

You may need neither.
Have you bumped up your other voltages?

Yes. NB and FSB have no effect on fails. Does my bios voltage setting still getting to the CPU regardless of its windows voltage? Like is 1.28v going into the CPU, even though CPU-Z is reading 1.232 idle? What voltage are you running and what kind of temps are you getting? Since we have the same cooling. My ambient temp may be part of the problem as well.

The CPUz voltage is what you're getting instead of what you set in BIOS.That's called vdroop. Go by what CPUz reads.
My ambients are good cause My room temps are low, like 15°c(60F) and I always have the side off my case( My case really stinks) It has also been really cold here in NH for the past 6 months.
