Sorry AMD but um...

Ok I'm done with SLI and AMD, just not working for me knowing that theres 9999 people on OCN with a simple Q6600 and a 680/780 chipset that run SLI beautifully.

So I guess ill save my money until I can build a rig and upgrade to somethng around the following:

Q6600 (G0 hopefully)
nForce 780i
2x2GB OCZ
750w ThermalTake modular PSU (cus wires in a 9oo are so ugly lol)
and keep my 8800's and MAYBE just MAYBE... have working SLI

cant wait till summer, probably gonna upgrade around mid june so ill save and see what the future brings.. then then GAME ON ATHLON GAME ON lol

Why not go with the nForce 790i?

And good idea going modular. You can have cleaner cabling.

Because then he would buying DDR3 memory which is so expensive right now.

Also, what went wrong with your SLI. I SLI just fine with my mobo. It's not PCI-E 2.0 but it still works wonderfully and plays Crysis on high.

I Love My setup,I know Some people HATE Asus,But I haven't had any problems(My 3rd Different Build with Asus)1st with Vista it didn't want to load with more that 2 gig of ram, after the fix No problems...I'm very happy with The way everything worked out,My system isn't that old(about 3 weeks).I'm not sure what is coming out,I like the Q6600(GO)..and your video cards are awesome too.
