How so? When I used Rivatuner to OC the card and set the fans I had this issue. I set the fan speed to 100% and used an OC of 850/1202. The card ran upto 69° under load and idled at 53-56°.

I thought that the Vapor-X cooling on the Sapphire Toxic was supposed to be a good cooling alternative. Truth be told, though, is that my case is tight and airflow sucks. Plus the room is like 60°.

Now after having nuked Rivatuner, uninstalling the card, reinstalling it, and reinstalling Catalyst 8.5 with Catalyst Control Center, the card now is at stock clocks (800/1152) and idles at 38-41° and runs under load at a max of 61° after about 40 minutes of TF2.

SO I think Rivatuner and ATI Tool are the problem(s) when it comes to manager an HD3870.
