whats a good stress test to see if my ram timings are stable? would orthos work?

yes orthos would but the best would be memtest86

memtest doesn't check all your RAM.

same way that orthos on large FFT doesnt' get outside of your l2 cahce on modern CPUs. RAM and cache grew very rapidly in size.

Yes memtest does check all of your RAM but not by default. You have to set it up in the options to test the entire memory range.

thats what i thought. memtest is about the best thing out there.

the only thing i dont like about memtest is you have to build a bootable cd or disk. not a big deal, just a slight inconveneince.
