Apacer technology company declared about the new memory module series : aeolus , we deal here with DDR3 modules 1800/1600Mhz. Those Modules are assembled on 128MBx8 chips , produced by Micron.

Apacer Aeolus memory is equipped with a new heat removal system , which according to the producer allow to reduce operating temperature by up to 20°c.

Under the same conditions traditional radiators reduce the temperature by 3-5°c, According to Apacer.

The new DDR 3-1800 MHz/1600 MHz modules have 2 GB capacity (dual-channel package ) and support new technology XMP (Extreme memory profiles).

Apacer aeolus DDR 3-1800 MHz/1600 MHz Technical characteristics :
Working voltage: 1800 MHz 1,9 v/1600 MHz 1,8 v
Contacts: 240
Latency: CL 7-7- 7-20
Life time guarantee

No, Putting a 80mm fan to hang over my Ballistix Tracers did wonders for their temps and even let me get lower timings.

Why buy those with a crappy fan, when you can hang a 80mm over it with wire and K'nex?

For those air cooling guys this setup would most likely cause a big problem with the ram installed and your cpu coolers.

Would look pretty sweet in a WC setup.

I've never had any problems with the Apacer RAM in my system. Glad to see they are breaking out into the enthusiast market.

For a watercooler that only has fans on their radiators (like me) that's pretty useful actually. My ram was running hot, so I bought some scythe kama wing heatsinks. Aftermarket ram cooling is overkill for people on air, but not for me. I'm sure other WC'ers will agree.

This is getting ridiculous, companies keep wasting time and resources on these cooling solutions for things like RAM and HDD that only need it in extreme circumstances.
