* ABS Tagan ITZ Series ITZ1100 1100W Power Supply
Item #: N82E16817814002
Return Policy: Standard Return Policy

* ASUS Striker II Formula ATX Intel Motherboard
Item #: N82E16813131255

* Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66GHz LGA 775 95W Processor
Item #: N82E16819115027
Return Policy: Processors (CPUs) Return Policy

now so far does that look like a good setup for current, and future PC games? How about overclocking compatiblilty? Instead of the Asus Striker should i go with the cheaper EVGA 780i motherboard? What about cooling Air or Water (never used water-cooling)... What coolers would be good to keep this system cool? This will be in my basement which is around 60 degrees year round.. thanks in advance!

A few things swap your HDD for the equivlant samsung ones, in my personal opinion stay away from the 780i.

Go for air cooling first the tuniq tower is your best option.

Good luck.

I would go with the EVGA 780i board and I'm not sure if you really need a Q6700. Most people on here have had a great time overclocking their Q6600s.

I agree with wire about the q6600.

I have known off people that have had problems with it due to the heat that it produces.

Over here in the UK it hasn't had a that good of reviews(http://www.custompc.co.uk/reviews/17...ish9.html).But....
...I know a lot of OCN users have one.

IMHO, Lite-On makes absolutely great DVD and Optical Drives. They are a little cheaper and perform better in most tasks.

Couple of things...

I would forget about the Q6700 and get either a Q6600 and OC it or a Q9550

Also, I would go for a 24 inch monitor instead of a 22. Wouldn't it be nice to run games in 1920x1200 HD??? Your card can take it...

Yeah, I heard the q6700 will be going down in price soon.. So if it goes down a couple hundred by the end of May-early june i will go with the q6700 but if it doesn't i will go with the q6600.. Yeah for the card i'm getting I should get a 24 inch HDMI monitor, Does this monitor look good: SAMSUNG 2493HM Glossy Black 24" 5ms DVI HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor with Height/Pivot Adjustments 400 cd/m2 DC 10000:1 Built in Speakers - Retail

I'm also going to switch to the Western Digital HD for the SAMSUNG Spinpoint F1 HD753LJ 750GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM like Jeffries 7 suggested..

Thanks for the Suggestions.. Any thing Else you see that would be good to get or switch? I just want this PC to play current/future games with all settings on high! heh
