21.6" vs. 22" - Noteworthy difference?

Thread Starter
I'm looking to replace my current 4:3 CRT momma with a 21.6" or 22" LCD monitor (ignore sig rig monitor). Looking only at Samsung due to high reviews as well as the fact that my father just recently bought two 21.6" monitors for his new computer, both of which look absolutely fabulous.

I need a little input on what monitor would be recommended, taking into account price, color/contrast quality, size, as well as support. I plan on keeping whichever one I get for a good 4 or 5 years, so I need something that will last. I play video games mostly, although I'd like to be able to watch DVDs as well. Here is a round-up of some monitors I've been looking at. Any input would be much appreciated.

tl;dr - Best bang for buck?

22" 226BW (maybe?) - FRYS - $249 after MIR
22" 226BW - eBay - $273 w/ shipping

21.6" 2253LW - Newegg - $259 after MIR
21.6" 216BW - eBay - $248 w/ shipping (same model dad bought)

If you can get it for cheap I say who cares. I only got the 22" because it was a deal. I have seen the 216bw in the store and it doesn't look any different than mine.

Edit: I think I saw a thread talking about a replacement for the 226bw. The 216bw I saw was on sale for $250 , it was staples/officemax/office depot not sure because I travel to all those for work in one day. But you might be able to find a deal in store on that.

For me that .4" difference would not be any kind of deciding factor at all. There is no way you're going to be looking at it and really noticing four-tenths of an inch difference.
