Its not a thermal pad as in thermal tim, it is an actual cushion pad that is ment to protect the surrounding components of the SB core itself. What is happening is that the pad in getting pinched between the core and the heatsink, instead of fitting around the core allowing the heatsink to make full contact with the core itself.
As for Collateral's comment to me, he is just having fun. It doesnt bother me since I have the privelage of seeing his entire PC at my house every other week for something!
LOL, he really is a great guy. If any of you want to see some amazing game play, you need to watch some of his team's in-game clips. He is pretty modest about it, but he can clean up on BF2 and COD4!
